As we know, when the glass bottles are being produced, the production master brush some oil on the moulidngs. The purpose is to clean and lubricate mouldings so that the bottles coming out of the mouldings smoothly. But many glass bottles factories encounter a common problem, some oil residue left on the glass bottles.
It would effect the user’s bottling and labelling.
the label when applied to oily glass would just lift off.
It would not stick unless the bottles were wiped and it would delay production.
How come ?
the oil residue is resulted from the following 3 points:
1. the moulding oil quality. when the master brush the oil to the mouldings, it is not burnt out entirely, causing the oil residue left on glass bottles.
2. the master brush the moulding oil too much, causing the oil residue not burnt out entirely and left on glass bottles.
3. the master brush the moulding oil not even, causing some oil residue were not burnt out entirely and left on glass bottles.
Currently, many glass bottle factories have such problem, more or less.
Solutions:
1. use the best quality moulding oil to reduce the oil residue to the least possible,the cost will be increased a little.
2. request the production master to control strictly the volume of moulding oil and bursh the moulding oil evenly.
3. If there is oil residue on glass bottles, the factory can arrange some workers to wipe them out manually, but the cost will be increased.
How to wipe off the oil residue ?
Wipe the oil with the wiping rag that stained with alcohol.
