Raw material control
Glass material selection: Glass materials that meet food contact safety requirements should be selected to ensure good chemical stability, such as borosilicate glass, which has low expansion rate, high heat resistance and good chemical resistance, and can meet the use requirements of glass water bottles. At the same time, the impurity content in the raw materials should be strictly controlled to avoid defects such as bubbles and stones in the glass due to impurities.
Additive use: For additives such as colorants and clarifiers that may be added during the production process, products that meet relevant standards must be selected, and the amount added should be strictly controlled within the prescribed range to prevent additives from having adverse effects on glass performance and food safety.
Production process control
Production equipment maintenance: Regularly maintain and service production equipment to ensure that the equipment is in good operating condition. For example, calibrate the temperature control system of the glass melting furnace to ensure that the melting temperature and uniformity of the glass liquid meet the requirements to avoid unstable glass quality due to temperature fluctuations.
Molding process control: Strictly control the molding process parameters of the glass water bottle, such as blowing pressure, mold temperature, cooling speed, etc. Taking the blowing pressure as an example, the blowing pressure should be accurately adjusted according to the specifications and shape of the bottle to ensure that the wall thickness of the bottle is uniform and avoid local over-thickness or over-thinness.
Appearance quality control: Strengthen the inspection of the appearance quality of glass water bottles, including the flatness of the bottle mouth, the verticality of the bottle body, and the surface finish. Use optical inspection equipment or manual visual inspection to promptly detect and remove products with obvious appearance defects, such as bubbles, cracks, scratches, etc.
Quality inspection
Conventional performance testing
Glass particle water resistance test: According to the standard requirements, the glass sample is crushed and then tested for water resistance to test its weight loss under specific conditions to evaluate the chemical stability of the glass.
Sealing performance test: For glass water bottles with sealing requirements, a sealing tester is used for testing to ensure that there is no leakage under a certain pressure.
Handle or strap (handle ring) strength test: The handle or strap (handle ring) of the glass water bottle is subjected to a tensile tester to test the maximum tensile force it can withstand to ensure that it will not break during use.
Limit detection of harmful substances: Regularly test the dissolution of harmful substances such as lead and cadmium in glass water bottles. Professional detection methods such as atomic absorption spectroscopy can be used to ensure that they meet relevant safety standards.
Packaging and labeling
Packaging requirements: The packaging of glass water bottles should meet the standard requirements and have sufficient cushioning and protection properties to prevent damage during transportation and storage. For example, use packaging materials such as foam plastics and cartons to package the bottles in layers to avoid collisions.
Labeling content: Product labels should be clear and accurate, and should include information such as product name, specifications, production date, and implementation standards. At the same time, for special use requirements or precautions, they should also be clearly marked on the packaging so that consumers can use and maintain the products correctly.
Personnel training and management
Operator training: Provide professional training for operators on the production line to familiarize them with the requirements of the QB/T 4162-2021 standard, master the correct production operation skills and quality control points, and ensure that every link in the production process meets the standard requirements.
Quality management personnel: Establish dedicated quality management personnel to monitor the quality of raw materials, semi-finished products and finished products throughout the entire process, promptly identify and resolve quality problems, and regularly conduct quality statistics and analysis of products to provide a basis for improving production processes.
