Cast iron materials for glass bottle moulds:
The main failure modes of glass bottle forming die are oxidation (peeling, peeling, pitting), chamfering and deformation. Scale peeling is the main form of scrap of glass bottle forming die. The key factor affecting the service life of the die is the heat resistance of the material, that is, the oxidation resistance and growth resistance of the material at high temperature. This depends on the matrix in the organization. In-service graphite morphology.
The addition of copper, chromium, tin and other elements in cast iron can promote the formation of pearlite, improve the hardness of cast iron, and thus improve the anti-chamfering and anti-wear ability of the die. Adding silicon and aluminium elements, a dense oxide film on the surface of Si02 and A1203 can be formed, thus improving the anti-oxidation ability of the die surface.
New cast iron materials for glass bottles include low tin cast iron, copper-chromium cast iron, medium silicon dilution, medium silicon-molybdenum-rare earth, low tin vermicular iron and low aluminium vermicular iron. Compared with HT200, the service life of glass bottle die steel is lower, while that of low aluminium vermicular iron is higher, the difference is about 5 times.
